Gaiters!

We booked our flights yesterday. There's no turning back now! I am both excited and terrified.

This trek is all I think about.

Last night I bought some Gaiters. Super Armadillo Gaiters by Hillsound. Waterproof for the mud. They'll keep the sand out. They look and feel pretty high tech. I will love them for hiking in the winter as well and cross-country skiing. I tried them on last night with my boots. Even though it was midnight I wanted to go out for a walk. In some mud or deep snow. Alas, the snow is all melted here.
