Barrier Lake Lookout/ Jewel Pass

My hiking group (Joe, Karen and Dana) did Barrier Lake Lookout via Jewel Pass. It was a nice hike through the forest and then up on a ridge. I felt strong and confident on this hike. Maybe my training is paying off? When we approached the fire lookout, a helicopter was just taking off. So kind of him to move out of our way so we could eat lunch.
