Years ago, circa 1998, Ed and I went to the old Sun Ice factory. We purchased goretex fabric with liner to make Ed a pair of goretex pants. He wears them all the time. I didn’t use the liner fabric because I felt it was overkill. The outer was waterproof, why did the liner also need to be? Fast forward 19 years. The WCT is in a rain forest on the coast. Naturally, you should expect rainfall at any time of the year. I have a nice raincoat, but I didn’t have any nice light rain pants. I pulled out that old piece of waterproof liner fabric and an old pattern for pajama pants and whipped myself up a pair of ultralight rain pants.
They are fairly awesome.
And extremely white.
Like get me a pair of shades, your pants are hurting my eyes.
They’ll do.
