Erica, Jolene, Dylan, Candice and her kids all hiked to Lower Rowe Lake on Erica’s birthday. What a pretty little hike! After lunch Jolene, Candice and I hiked to Upper Rowe while Dylan and Erica took the kids down to the park in town. Upper Rowe had some more serious elevation. The trail branches off from Lineham Ridge trail and we heard from other hikers there was a grizzly and two cubs on that trail. We tried to see it from our vantage point on the Upper Rowe trail, but all I saw was a cute little mountain sheep snowboarding on a late glacier.
This meadow was spectacular.
Upper Rowe was nice but we didn’t linger as the kids were all waiting and Erica needed to get back to Calgary to celebrate her 23rd birthday at The Little Sheep.
I loved all the little foot bridges. Something tells me they are good practice for the WCT.
This meadow was spectacular.
It was a very nice hike on a beautiful day.
Except for my feet. They hurt. I wore my Scarpa’s and stumbled about 19 times. The sole must be thicker than I’m used to. Or something.
